A boat designed for tours in the Milford Sounds of New Zealand
As a group we chose to design a boat for small tours of around eight people plus two drivers.
The boat was designed specifically for the Milford Sounds, we wanted a sheltered indoor space as well as the option to open it up for finer weather. The nose of the boat is design to allow passenger to look up into waterfalls as the boat noses in as they often do on the tours. The exterior colour was chosen to camouflage the boat to its surroundings. There is storage under the main deck for two Kayaks, as part of the tour they can be easily pulled out and reloaded via the back deck.
